hello,
I'm studying the water flow around a cylinder (diameter 4 cm) and inlet velocity along x is 1.6 m/s.
I'm wondering about the right mean to set up turbulence boundary inlet condition. I'm trying to find some informations about hydraulic diamenter and calculation by turbulent intensity, Does someone can send me some indications or documentations about this parameters
thanks

Re: setting boundary inlet turbulence conditions
The hydraulic diameter represents the ratio between the surface and the wetted perimeter, but how is it used to define the turbulents boundaries values?

Hello,
The documentation is a bit hard to locate here, but check for cs_turbulence_bc_inlet_hyd_diam in https://www.code-saturne.org/documentat ... bc_8c.html.
Best regards,
Yvan

Re: setting boundary inlet turbulence conditions
Thanks for the prevoiusly informations. I have studied the link and many questions come.
They are mainly led to the influence between choices about numerical parameters and accuracy of the reults
I have resumed the in the attachment
Could you have a look?
Best regards
