How to restart a calculation stopped unexpectly

Post by Ruonan »

Hello everyone,

I have a calculation stopped accidentally because of my PC error. Now I have many former results saved in the postprocessing folder, still have run_status.running file, but I think actually it is not running.

There is no checkpoint folder. Please can you tell me is there any chance that I can restart this calculation? Because I don't want to waste the results and restart at the very beginning.

Many thanks and best regards,
Ruonan

Hello,

No, if you do not have a checkpoint yet, I am afraid you need to restart from scratch.

Hello,

Note also that you can modify the checkpoint output frequency, including in the GUI.

By default, if N time steps are requested, a checkpoint is output every N/4 time steps.

Best regards,

Yvan
