Hello,
I would like to know if it exists a minimum required number of cells to be placed between the boundaries (faces) of a 3D volume, in order to be considered an independent Volume Region and to apply for example source terms or specified head losses inside it.
Can I use an one-cell-layer domain to specify a singular pressure drop inside it?
Hope my question is clear...
Thank you very much.
Best regards,
Daniele

Re: Minimum cell number for independent Volume Region
Hello,
Yes, this is possible. When you have only one (or a few) cell layers, it is important to activate the "iphydr" and "icalhy" options ("Improved pressure interpolation in stratified flow" in the GUI's numercial parameters section), otherwise the head loss will be underestimated.

Yvan
