Help for moving mesh

Post by Marcel_didier »

Hello,

I'm new on this software and I work with it for my internship. So I would like to know if you have any advices/tips or tutorials to get a moving mesh on Code_Saturne (with ALE method) or do I have to do it with the mesh software (I'm using Salome) ?
In long term, my goal is to simulate a water turbine with the turbine moving (the turbine will move thanks to an angular speed already known, not thanks to the water flow).
So if you have anything for me, it would be perfect.

Best regards.

Hello,

SALOME will only be required if you need to re-mesh (and then we would need additionnal interpolation features).

For a slightly deforming mesh, use ALE
For a turbine, the turbomachinery options seem better. There is no tutorial yet, but you will fi d quite a few references by searching on this forum.

Regards,

Yvan
