Hello everyone,
I'm using Code_Saturne 3.0. I would like to import I-deas (.unv) mesh file and set boundary conditions in GUI of Code_Saturne.
I could import attached I-deas file into Code_Saturne. The mesh file has information of node positions and node groups for inlet, outlet, and wall. I would like to set boundary conditions using the node group information. However, I could not find out the solution to set boundary conditions using the node group information in GUI.
Please let me know, if you have any idea.
Best regards,
Junichi

Re: Boundary condition setting for I-deas mesh file
Hello,
Code_Saturne ignores groups/colors defined at nodes (except for the CGNS format), so you need to define groups of colors at boundary faces, not vertices.
Under I-deas (at least in the old versions we had some years ago), this was done adding "surface coating" to the volume mesh.
Regards,
Yvan

Re: Boundary condition setting for I-deas mesh file
Hello Yvan,
Thank you for your help.
I'm using Autodesk Simulation CFD as a meshing software. The software can export only I-deas format mesh file.
I tried to change format of mesh file from I-deas to CGNS using Salome 6.6.0. This way works well. I could import groups at boundary into Code_Saturne.
Best regards,
Junichi
