Hello,
I downloaded the CS3 beta version of CS, and I am quite lost compared to the 2.0 I am used to use. All SRC naming has been changed... If I may suggest something (if this is possible of course) is to add in the documentation and equivalence table from CS2 SRC names to CS3 SRC names, so that this will be easier for people like me switching from CS2.0 to CS3.0. Do you think this is something feasible ?

Re: CS3 SRC
Hello,
I don't know if we would prefer to do this in the user documentation, in the release notes, or on the web site.
The main issue is that depending on the users, we need to go either directly from 2.0 to 3.0, and for others, from 2.0 to 2.1, 2.1 to 2.2, 2.2 to 2.3, 2.3 to 3.0. In addition, some things have changed in addition to file renaming: usipes still exists (in cs_user_parameters, renamed from usini1.f90), but ntchr does not exist anymore, and is replaced by settings in cs_user_postprocess.c. Specific physics input/output settings have moved to usipes, but the files otherwise remain...
So documenting changes so as to be both concise and coplete is not so trivial. Compared to the beta you may have downloaded, we updated the NEWS file recently, so that it may be used at release notes. You may check it under http://code-saturne.org/viewvc/saturne/ ... on3_0/NEWS. Does it help you ?
In general, files have been renamed to be clearer, and some subroutines are in new files, but have not been renamed, so if you user "grep" in the SRC/REFERENCE subdirectory of a given case, you should find them easily.

Yvan

Re: CS3 SRC
Hello again,
It's true that I was only dealing with my own problem without taking in account the upgrade from other versions of CS to CS 3.0. I will make the equivalence by my own. Nevertheless thanks for the support and for the tool which is amazing once you get used to it. Thanks.
