Hi James,

Sorry, the value (omegay = 0.5E01 affiched in the listing it means omegay = 0.5 *10 =5.d0) -ie 5 tourns/seconde. The listing.1 and listing.2 for the case of "omegay = 5.d0" -ie ,the turbine make 5 tourns/s, are attached,

In this case I have 1000 iteration with a time step of 1E-3, I think that's logical

Thanks

I don't think it has converged yet, the maximum velocity is oscillating a lot. Though I agree it is large, have you a shot of the flow-field?

Yes I have the photos of velocity,

When I attached the photos I get this message on the forum: limit the number of attachments on the forum has been reached.

Hello,

Could you try again?

Thanks Jacques,

James in atached the photos of velocity field at 0.1s,

I think that's a prob of convergence !

Thanks

Hi - I think if you've only simulate 0.1s then you have not done enough, even the 1000 iterations at 1D-3 is only 1 second. The flow will take longer to develop. As you're using the code-coupling it will take a bit of time for both domains to synchronise and I don't imagine you will have accurate results until this occurs. Also your Courant number is low so there doesn't seem to be a problem with the calculation.

You say the maximum velocity is large and so is perhaps an indication of something going wrong. However, you state blade radius is 4.75cm, but the listing says the inner domain is +/- 7m, so I'm thinking your blade is actually r=4.75m, is this correct?

Ahh OK Maybe you're right, maybe the problem comes from my dimenion geometry. Because I realized geometry of SALOME and units are adimentionnel (-ie. I Put it just, for exemple, wide = 5, length = 10 etc..) So I think SATURNE takes THE default values as (meter) AND NOT centimeter as I thought.

I attached I photo of flow at 2s the fluid begins to homogenize between the two areas ( the distribution of flow seams correct)!

I will change the dimensions of the geometry I and I'll let you know, thank you for this track

Hi James and all,

Yess,,,Now I obteined a velocity less than the velocity calculated, I think that result is reasonable compared to what I had before.

Thank you James for the idea of seeing the dimensions of the geometry, thank you very much.
I will continue my calculations until the time greater than the second.

THanks
