Hi,
I would like to compute the air flow around a volume and resulting forces on that volume (wind effects).
In Saturne can I have a volume delimited by 'WALL' boundaries floating in a tube INLET+WALL+OUTLET with no continuity between the volume WALLS and the tube WALL ?
Thanks
Gregory

Re: wall continuity
Hello,
Yes. There is no restriction on or need of continuity between different walls.

Yvan

Re: wall continuity
Thanks Yvan,
I have tried 'cutting' a sphere in a cylinder in Salome, with no continuity between sphere and cylinder. It works well.
Perhaps my previous error was to use a solid sphere...
Now I would like to apply the StreamTracer filter in Paraview, but nothing comes out ...

Re: wall continuity
Hello,
For the "stream tracer" in ParaView, how did you specify your source (ParaView sets a single point source by default, do if you do not place the point or replace it with a line source, you often don't get much) ?

Re: wall continuity
Thanks.
In 'StreamTracer' I have increased the number of points and placed the central point. I have also increased the 'maximum streamline length' to 2000.
The result is more interesting !
(with default length the lines seemed to break just around the sphere in the maximum velocity zone )
