Hello,

You can use "filters" in SALOME to select groups of faces, cells, ... The feature is quite powerful, but its presentation in the GUI is not very intuitive and the documentation sparse...

Otherwise, running the Code_Saturne preprocessor directly with additional command line options (--num <part>, I can read the various mesh groups, but as they are in separate parts, each with separate coordinates, they then appear as isolated faces; maybe they could be merged under SALOME's SMESH, but in any case you will not be able to easily merge them with the volume mesh in version 5.0 of Code_Saturne; improvements to mesh joining in last week's master would allow this, so there will be more options in version 5.3.

Using SALOME, you may also try reading the CGNS output from Star-CCM+ in ParaVis, and export t in MED format, but I am not sure the CGNS reader in SALOME 8.3 can read polyhedron elements generated by Star-CCM+, and 8.4 is not available under Windows. I still recommend giving it a try.

This would be easy on Linux, as the Windows version is not the "main platform" version...

Regards,

Yvan
