Mesh preprocessing with Paraview - Code Saturne v5

Hello,

I am wondering how to post-treat the mesh imported in Saturne version 5.

In version 4, one could use the Mesh preprocess, open the MESH_GROUPS.case and then use the "Extract block" filter in Paraview to see the different Volume and Boundary regions.

In version 5, this is not possible anymore, since no MESH_GROUPS.case seems to be created. Therefore, I cannot directly check if the imported Volume Regions appearing in the GUI exactly correspond to the desired mesh regions.

Am I doing something wrong? Do you have any idea about how to solve the issue?

Hello Danielle,

With CS 5.0 you can proceed in the same way.

In the preprocessing mode (not calculation mode) you can run the Mesh preprocessing and in the postprocessing directory you will get the MESH_GROUPS.case and then use the "Extract block" filter to check the BC's groups.
