MEDCoupling support

Hi, I hope to build Code_Saturne 4.0.6 with SALOME-MECA-2016-LGPL-1. However, it did not successfully complete the build. The install_saturne.log file says: configure: WARNING: no MEDCoupling support configure: error: in `/home/fafan/packages/Code_saturne-4.0.6_openmpi/code_saturne-4.0.6_openmpi.bui...

Re: Performance of v4.0.5 and 4.3.0

Thanks Yvan. I attach "runcase" here, but I think it is the one when I ran it interactively with Code_Saturne GUI. The one actually controls the batch run is the PBS script "run_parallel" below. Thanks.

Performance of v4.0.5 and 4.3.0

Hi Code_Saturne users and developers, My system is a small cluster which uses Portable Batch System (PBS). I tried a small model of 66704 cells (turbulent junction flow, no heat transfer, picture attached below) with v4.0.5 and then with v4.3.0. Both runs 300 steps using 12 cores (in the same node)....

Re: Stop to avoid exceeding time allocation.

Hi Yvan, This message "Stop to avoid exceeding time allocation" is printed by Code_Saturne to the listing file. So, something must have caused Code_Saturne to determine that it needs to stop to avoid exceeding time allocation. What is that Code_Saturne detected and decided to stop. Is ther...

Re: Frozen field Lagrangian particle simulation

Thank you Luciano.
But the graphic user interface does not show that way (Picture 2) even though Frozen carrier field was selected previously.

Frozen field Lagrangian particle simulation

Hi, A Lagrangian particle simulation restarts from a prior steady-state flow field. Frozen carrier flow is chosen on Global Settings page (Picture 1). On Start/Restart page, there is "Calculation on frozen velocity and pressure fields" (Picture 2). However, Picture 1 implies the option on ...

Re: Plotting particle trajectories in ParaView

Hi Yvan, Thank you. After creating a trajectory writer and associating a trajectory mesh to it (see attached pictures), I should have trajectory files (trajectories.00001, trajectories.00002, trajectories.00003, ...) generated in the postprocessing directory, right? But, I don't see such files being...
