Hello,

I have heard that the Rie-Chow can make some "clic-clac" phenomenom on low speed flow. I have seen the user and theorical manual but I do not understand how this filter works and how it can have an impact on the flow. Can you have some information or paper on this filter?

Thanks,

Arnaud

Hello,

you have some information in the theory guide of Code_Saturne. Otherwise see resolp.f90 for more information.

Hello,

the Rhie & Chow filter is expected to remove the checkboarding effects. It consist in adding the cell
gradient of the pressure and removing the face gradient of the pressure during the correction step of the resolution of the Navier Stokes equation. For more details, you can read the original paper of Rhie & Chow, or the theoretical documentation (in French until now) which gives some clues of how this filter help removing checkboarding effetcts.

Best Regards,

Martin
