Plot streamlines with paravis module in SALOME or Paraview

Post by Guillaume Mercier »

Hello dear community,

I have used Saturne for a few month now, and specially the Slinding/Rotating mesh tool. My problem is not related with this feature today but with postprocessing.

I was using SALOME6.3.0 for postprocessing so far, and I want to go to Paravis module embedded, or simply to ParaView itself. With code-saturne output files, Ensight format, it works very well, except for the linetracker filter.
When working on output data, the software doesn't let me use the linetracker filter, although the velocity is define everywhere. And ploting the streamline was fine with the protprcessing of SALOME though.
- Do you understand the problem or/and already encountered it?

I attached an exemple of postprocessing file. It's a random example with trial parameters and frozen joined mesh.

I hope you have an answer for me,
Thanks for the help

Guillaume

If I understand you want to be able to make streamlines? In Paraview you need to apply the filter "Cell data to point data" and then you will be able to use the stream tracker filter. I'm not sure about Salome.
Hope that helps?
