Gradient reconstruction

In the current GUI, there is a parameter for "Gradient reconstruction type" in the Numerical parameters panel, but there is also a sub-panel "Gradient" with very similar information under Equation parameters.

Is there some documentation about the difference between the two, or does one override the other?

(In particular, I am looking at a case with a strong variation in density that seems to cause oscillations in the pressure when this density gradient is at an angle to the mesh, and trying to suppress these numerical oscillations as much as possible.)

Hello,

Yes, in the equation parameters, if you leave the default gradient selection to "global", the usual setting is used. But ylu can now override the option on a "per variable" basis which can be interesting in some cases.

It can for exemple be useful to apply more robust options only to variables causing issues (since we do not yet have much feedback on this this may involve bisection or trial an error).

Best regards,

Yvan
