Hello,
I am very interested in Code_Saturne/Syrthes, and have used OpenFoam in the past...

Ubuntu 22, Code_Saturne 8.03

Syrthes tutorials and my own Syrthes cases work without issue.

When running the Code_Saturne tutorials, after starting the solver from the Gui, I get the following in the run_solver.log file:
No "mesh_input.csm" file or directory found. This happens in two tutorials I tried, and in my own case I tried from scratch.

My installation is in: /home/m/code_saturne/8.0.3/code_saturne-8.0.3/arch/Linux_x86_64/libexec/code_saturne/cs_solver
However, the error file references the directory where I unzipped the source for installation. I had moved it to the trash, but even after restoring it, the error continues. It reports:

Code: Select all

/home/m/Code_Saturne/code_saturne-8.0.3/src/base/cs_preprocessor_data.c:227: Fatal error.

No "mesh_input.csm" file or directory found.
Any idea what this is caused by?
attached.

Hello,

The error simply reports the line in the source code relative to where the error is caught or handled, so as to help with debugging and analyzing the issue, so the message you obtain is normal.

You now need to understand why the mesh input file was not found. Either the tutorial links directly to such a file and you did not provide its location, or your install may be missing the required library support. You probably need to look at error messages in the calling terminal or GUI run window.
So this is probably more of a usage than installation issue.

Regards,

Yvan

That was probably the issue.

I reinstalled completely. I ran through the tutorial again, and it did solve.
Thanks
