Running the Compressible Module without GUI

Post by StandardRANSUser001 »

Hi Everyone,

I would like to set up a case for a compressible flow without the GUI, and I am finding it tricky to get this working.

I suspect that there may be an incompatibility between the compressible Fortran modules (uscfx1, uscfx2) and the cs_user_parameters.c files. Has anybody else had issues navigating this? Perhaps I have missed something in the documentation?

As some reference, I have undertaken the following work:
1. I have been able to run the compressible case, when developed in the GUI (KW SST or SSG-epsilon)
2. I have been able to rebuild the same case (incompressible) without the GUI (KW SST)
3. I am unable to build a compressible case without the GUI - I have built this with the example files provided in the 8.0.3 release.

Looking at version 8.2 log (https://github.com/code-saturne/code_sa ... er/NEWS.md), I can see that the compressible module has been migrated to cs_user_parameters.c. Does this suggest that it may be easier to work with the compressible model in CS V8.2?

I am hoping that somebody could provide a minimal working example of a compressible case, built entirely without the GUI. This can be either in V8.0 or 8.2.

Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
Sean Hanrahan
