Inclined inlet flow

Hello,

I'd like to simulate an inclined inlet flow (flow is not normal to the boundary) in a rectangular domain with code_saturne. The numerical result is shown in the attached file, as expected for this simple test case, the velocity is uniform, however the pressure field is not uniform, which seems to me non-physical. As in the momentum equation, the time derivative and space derivatives of the velocity is zero, the pressure gradient should be zero.

For the boundary condition, I impose inlet flow for the left and top sides of the rectangle with ux=0.4m/s and uy=-0.1m/s, and free_inlet_outlet flow for the right and bottom sides of the rectangle. I give also in the attached file the mesh file, xml file and the source file. Could you please show me the modifications that should be made in order to have a correct numerical result (uniform pressure and velocity)? I think that the problem is related to the boundary condition.

P.S. I was not able to attach the files associated to the test case, you may find them in the following link:

Best regards,
Lei

Hello,

I'll let others contradict me or confirm this, but to me it actually seems physical that the inlet pressure is not uniform (if you consider a section of the flow field, excluding the boundaries, the pressure gradient should be normal to the flow...).
