Hello,
I am using an "Outlet" boundary condition (Code_Saturne v5).
For this condition, in the Theory Guide it is written that "if the outlet becomes an inlet, then the mass-
flux is clipped to zero". Which means, I guess, that the face of the cell lying on the boundary is treated as a wall, in case of reversed flow along the Outlet.
But this interpretation is inconsistent with the fact that one can impose prescribed scalar (thermal and other scalars) value/flux on an Outlet bc.
Thus, could someone explain to me what exactly is the meaning of the "Prescribed value" and "Prescribed (outgoing) flux" imposed on an Outlet bc?
Many thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Daniele
