Frozen field Lagrangian particle simulation

Hi,

A Lagrangian particle simulation restarts from a prior steady-state flow field. Frozen carrier flow is chosen on Global Settings page (Picture 1). On Start/Restart page, there is "Calculation on frozen velocity and pressure fields" (Picture 2). However, Picture 1 implies the option on Picture 2 also has to be on. Does it require the user to select it again? Thanks.

Hello,

Frozen carrier flow is setted with the variable IILAGR=3, and the doxygen documentation mention "when IILAGR= 3 Lagrangian two-phase flow on frozen continuous phase. This option can only be used in case of a calculation restart. All the Eulerian fields are frozen (including the scalar fields). This option automatically implies ICCVFG = 1"

You can check the doxygen doc for more detail.

Luciano

Thank you Luciano.
But the graphic user interface does not show that way (Picture 2) even though Frozen carrier field was selected previously.

Hello,

Yes, you are right. Would be useful that the frozen field at the restart appear selected after Frozen carrier flow were selected. Maybe the developers has its reasons for doing in that way.
