boundary condition visualization in ensight

Post by leguichet »

Version 3.0.6

We would like to check the boundary condition, for example, the temperature at the wall, is set correctly, by visualizing it in Ensight-10. Apparently, there was a change since version 3.0 that only the cells attached to the wall can be visualized by default. When I tried to visualize the temperature at the wall, I found the value of 10⁴ instead of 308K set as boundary condition. It seems that the boundary conditions are not written in the postpossessing files.

Can someone tell us how to set up the output of the real boundary conditions in code_saturne? There is an option?

Best regards

Hello,

You can activate wall temperature in GUI.

Thank you for your response.
In fact, when the atmospheric model (dry atmosphere) is activated, with the wall_temperature chosen in GUI, it does not output the real boundary condition imposed at the rough walls. It gives some other strange large values for the temperature.

By the way, for the other scalars, how can we show their values or flux (equivalent to Nusselt number) in ensight?

Thanks
