Hello,

I would like to know is it possible with this code to model the following:

A cylindrical piston - type air compressor with valves, including heat transfer between all components, model of the solid component heat transfer, temperature, and stress, and model leakage flow through piston annular crevices all calculated over many complete cycles.

How would this be done with Code Saturne?

Hello,

You can simulate cylindrical piston with heat transfers in the fluid with ALE method in Code_Saturne. But at the moment, you cannot couple ALE with SYRTHES code for heat exchange in the solid and there is no model for leakage.
