Hello
I would like to use lagrangian particle tracking for droplets with heat transfer and evaporation. The "evaporation of droplets" option is grayed out in GUI version 3.1. I cannot find information related to this in the subroutines either. How can I enable this option and which law for evaporation rate would be used in this case?

Hi Yasmine,

I fear that there is no evaporation model implemented in Code_Saturne; the fact that there is a grayed-out option in the GUI is most probably a mistake and should be corrected. If you are interested, I suggest to start by modifying the lagidp subroutine to implement the variation of the droplet diameter with respect to the local thermodynamic conditions, and lagimp for the evolution of the droplet mass.
