I found an article about using Syrthes in combination with code_saturne for simulating the heat transfer of a passive cooler and I want to give it a try on an university project. If I understand it right, Syrthes is for simulating the heat transfer insite of the cooler and code_saturne for the convection at its wall.
Now I installed the CAELinux 2011 which comes with saturne 2.0.2 and many other tools for simulating those things and I wonder how I can combine it with Syrthes. I downloaded the latest Syrthes Version (4.1.1) and tried to find out how to install it right.
Looking at the setup.ini of the Syrthes-Installation, there are a couple of options to consider.
Code: Select all
#--------------------------------------------------------
# SYRTHES for coupling with Code-Saturne (optional)
#--------------------------------------------------------
# Warning : MPI installation must be defined before
#
#ple USE=no
ple USE=yes PATH=/.../saturne/opt/libple-1.0/arch/MY_ARCH
#
syrthescfd INSTALL=no
#
#
Is it necessary to change something in the saturne installation/options to combine the two programs?
To get an idea of what I'm trying to do, look at the picture I attached. This comes from a COMSOL-Simulation. The next question is: How do I get this Software run? How to get the solution starting with the 3D-CAD-Files?
Thank you,
Sven
