Hi, I have installed Salome_6_6_0 using Salome_V6_6_0-LPGL-x86_64.run with no problems.

I installed HDF5-1.8.8 in /usr/local, result was directory called hdf5.

When I try to install code_saturne-3.0.1, when do the ./configure, it does not seem to recognize hdf5, even when I type in the path in the configure file. Same with MED and cgns. I need to install at least HDF5 and MED to transfer mesh files from Salome and use the GUI. Where should I install the the directories so that they are automatically recognized / what am I doing wrong? I attach the configure file (original and modified), and config.log file (same result for both configure files)in a zipped file using windows7. Your help would be most appreciated.

Hi, i forgot to state that I am doing the code saturne install on a 64 bit pc, on a Ubuntu 10.04.3 version (using CAELinux 2011).

Hello,

Never edit the configure directly unless you are sufficiently knowledgeable in the workings of the GNU autotools.

Also, it is recommended to use a separate build directory. The Code_Saturne installation manual contains all the information you need to solve your problem. Even if yo do not read everything, the example at the end of page 8 should help you.
