Hello,
I saw something today while running my first CS3 calculations. I defined a wotrking directory in /home/rdlabo/Temp_Saturne/tmp_Saturne/TORNADO5-10.TORNADO5-10.20130321-1425, while the results directory was /home/rdlabo/Documents/tornado/TORNADO5-10/TORNADO5-10/RESU/20130321-1425. I decided to stop the calculation before the end, then used the new feature avoiding the use of "ficstp", which is nice. But the control_file generated took place in the result directory instead of the working directory which means the calculation never stopped. Was it done on purpose ? thanks.

Re: stop calculation with CS3
Hello,
This is a bug, which I have just fixed, so things will work better in 3.0 final.
In any case, with version 3.0 it is useful to define a temporary directory only when you have multiple filesystems, and some are faster or better suited to batch execution than others (such as local vs. NFS mounts, or parallel cluster filesystems).
In all other cases, not defining a scratch directory will lead to running directly in the results directory, which is simpler (and avoids the current bug).
Regards,
Yvan
