[Running Problem] "not seem to be inside a case directory"

Post by m_f »

Hello,

After following tutorials about Code_Saturne installation, I decided to try a very simple case : a block into a flow. Very easy case. So, after opening termina, I start Code_Saturne.GUI and It works perfectly.
But, when I decided to start resolution, this message appears :

Code: Select all

Error:
/usr/local/bin/code_saturne run --param data
run from directory "/home/Public/studyname",
which does not seem to be inside a case directory.
This error appeared even if the software found all data alone, as MESH,or folders, in "Identify PATH" part, at the beginning of the software. I don't understand what's wrong.

Have a good day,
Best regards,

Hello,

What version are you using ? I believe this is fixed in recent versions, but I need to check.

In any case, just run the GUI from the case directory (one level lower than the study directory), and you should be fine.

I'll verify tomorrow that I runned from the case directory, I'm not sure.
It's the 2.2.2 version of Code_Saturne.

Good evening,

It doesn't work, even if I run from the /home/public from a terminal...same error :

Code: Select all

/usr/local/bin/code_saturne run --param data
run from directory "/home/Public/",
which does not seem to be inside a case directory.

Hello,
You did not follow my instructions regarding the directory from which to run the code...
Oh, I'm confused. I mixed up "upper" and "lower". It seems work better.
Sorry for this stupid mistake...

Have a good day,
