Hello,
Is it possible to have a warkaround to avoid that problem? I'm actually in internship and it is important for me to make some simulations for my report. I'll finish my internship in two weeks.
For the OS, after information the cluster use OS Centos7.
Best regards,
Djeen.

Hello,

I have test your case and I think that the problem was the boundary conditions that you set for the mesh movement. You fixed the displacement at the inlet/outlet and this collapse the mesh.

If you set as sliding, the simulation run without problem. I have tested in my laptop with 3 processes, not in a cluster.

I hope that this info can help you

Hello Luciano,
Thank you for the answer. The simulation run now without any problem.
I would like to know how to impose a sliding mesh with a free inlet/oulet boundary conditions.
When I use symmetry boundary condition for the INLET (ENTREE) and the OULET(SORTIE), the simulation run but the velocity field is not correct (attached picture).
Is it possible to impose a sliding mesh with a free inlet/outlet?
Best regards,
Djeen

Hello Djeen,

You are right, if you set free inlet / outlet no option for ALE BC appears. When I tested your case I change the free inlet / outlet to one inlet and one outlet in order run a more "classical" problem, I found the problem in the mesh so I set sliding mesh for the inlet and outlet and everything works fine. Then I changed the inlet and outlet to a free inlet / outlet and the ALE Bc remain in a sliding condition.

So, I guess that in can be a bug in the GUI, because when you set free inlet / outlet no option for ALE BC appears.

Follow the steps that I mention and check the xml file for the ALE BC

Hello,
Now all is working very well.
Thank you all for your help.
Can we report the bug of the GUI to the developer of the code?
Best regards.
Djeen.

Hello,

Yes, we can report it in the git hub page of Code Saturne.
