I am trying the same thing (compiling Code Saturne with SALOME), but am a little puzzled.
I installed Salome as part of SALOME-MECA.
What should I then consider the path for the SALOME base installation? Would that be "~/salome_meca/appli_V2016/bin/salome", or "~/salome_meca/V2016"?
