Boundary forces and internal coupling

Post by C.FLAG. »

Hello,

I am running a case with internal coupling and natural convection (Boussinesq). On the solid side, the pressure seems exactly constant and the velocity is zero, as expected. However, when looking at Yplus on coupled faces or when looking at the average / variance of the field "boundary_forces", I can observe some non-vanishing boundary forces on the solid side.

This is not really expected as the thermal expansion coefficient is exactly zero in the solid domain. I suspect the field "Yplus"
should vanish on the solid side. Am I missing something ?

Best regards,
Cédric

EDIT : case setup and mesh is available until 21/05 at the link https://filesender.renater.fr/?s=downlo ... 4258f20caf

EDIT2 : after looking at the code, I suspect it is possible to have a non-zero boundary force at the coupled faces on the solid side because the pressure is constant and not zero ? https://github.com/code-saturne/code_sa ... v.f90#L605

Hello Cédric,

I can reproduce the issue. I'll need to look at this in more detail.

Best regards,

Yvan
