Hello CS team!
I try to use the drift flux model in CS 5 (and CS4) without activating thermal model (I don't need thermophoresis).
I flagged the corresponding entries in cs_user_parameters.f90 file and I used cs_user_physical_propreties-scalar_drift.f90 (in SRC/EXAMPLES) for setting up my case but CS need a variable diffusivity for this scalar :

My question is following : is it possible to use scalar drift flux model with a constant scalar diffusivity?
Thanks a lot for your feedback.

Re: Constant Diffusivity of scalar with drift flux in CS 5.0
Hello,
Is there anyone to give me an answer?
I passed some time to read sources and documentation, and I have the feeling that I can't use the drift flux model without activating 'energy' model in cs even if I don't use it (isothermal case).
Thanks for a reply.

Hello Jeremie,
I'm not too sure about this. I'll check with Martin who worked on that part of the code, and keep you updated.
Best regards,
Yvan

Hello,
You can activate a variable diffusivity and give the same value for all the cells. We have to correct this combination.
Best regards
Martin

Dear Martin,
Thanks for your reply.
Should I also activate thermal model even if I don't use it?

Ok, I finally get some results without activating thermal model with a constant diffusivity for scalar.
Thanks a lot for your help!
