Hello,
I have two questions about the solver options in Saturne.
1) For steady-state calculations, is the "steady flow" option in the "Calculation features" the only possibility, or can we set somehow the "unsteady flow" option in a way that steady results can be obtain?
2) When I choose the SIMPLE algorithm for steady flow, I cannot change the "Number of iterations" in the "Steady flow management": if I modify the default value (10), it automatically turns back to 10 (I am using v5.beta)! Is this normal?
Many thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Daniele

Re: steady flow solver options
Hello,
1) Yes, you can use an unsteady flow and converge to a steady state. This is actually the safest option, though it can be slow.
2) Does the value turn back in the GUI or in the code ? It seems to work in the GUI on my side.
Regards,
Yvan

Re: steady flow solver options
Thank you for your reply.
The value turns back in the GUI and also in the code. If a set 1000, I save and launch the solver, the solver performs 10 iterations and stops. When I go back to the "Steady flow management" I see that the value has turned back to 10.
I will try to update to v5.0.1 and see if the problem disappears.
Thank you. Best regards,
