Mesh version problem

Post by Jiawei »

Hello everybody,

I use code_saturne 4.0.7 and salome version for ubuntu16.04 to do CFD simulation, but the MED versions of these two softwares don't match, so the mesh output from salome is in format CNGS.

The calculation can be successfully performed and the mesh check is ok. But in the listing, there are written "
The group or attribute "inlet" in the selection
criteria:
"not(inlet or outlet)"
does not correspond to any boundary face.
The group or attribute "inlet" in the selection
criteria:
"inlet"
does not correspond to any boundary face..........."
Mesh groups named inlet and outlet have been created and exported in salome.

is there any problem with my mesh version?

Best regards,

Jiawei

Hello,

I'm not sure..but I think that when you export the mesh in CGNS the names of the face groups are changed. So, you can do first a mesh preprocessing in order to identify the new group names in the preprocessing.log file and then update the names in the BC definition.

Hello,

I'm not sure group names are exported by SALOME for CGNS files.

What does the proprocessor log tell you ?

Also, I'm not sure I understand how your MED versions don't match ? Which tool uses which ? Can you reinstall Code_Saturne using the MED files from SALOME ? This would be simpler.
