Different specific physics for different parts of the domain

Post by rodion »

Hello everyone,

I want to simulate a gas/plasma flow inside of the plasma torch in Code_Saturne. In the left part of the torch I got cold gas with the oscilating pressure. In the right part of the torch I got a restriking electric arc.

Is it possible to impose compressible module for the left part of the domain and electric arcs module for the right part at the same case? If not, do you know some way to implement this idea?

Thanks in advance.
Best regards.

Hello,

This cannot be done in an immediate manner, but coupling 2 Code_Saturne computations (1 for each domain/model) could probably work, though I'd need to check which variables are coupled automatically and which are not.

Best regards,
