Problem with automatic installation

Post by clalgourdin »

Hello,

I'm new in this forum and I'm also a new Linux user so my questions are may be obvious for you.

I would like to run the automatic installation of Code Saturne 3.0.6.

My problem, it's that, when I ran the file : install_saturne.py there is just two files was created.

Setup_ini and install_saturne.log

When, I open the file : install_saturne.log, there is empty !

(I don't know if that's normal, because I have already seen in others topics, the file install_saturn.log shows the errors)

but, now I don't know the next step to achieve the automatic installation, so, if somebody could like explain to me ?

For information :
Xubuntu 14.04
Code_Saturne version : 3.0.6

I have already downloaded :

- Gfortran
- PyQt4-dev-tools

and the 2 files of C_S 3.0.6 :

here : http://code-saturne.org/cms/download/3.0

(I have put the 2 files in separate directories).

When I ran the file install_saturne.py, I just modify before the language in setup file : setup

Thank's a lot.

Hello,

You seem to have linked to the download section of the web site, not your files...

Do you have any other messages in the terminal ?

Did you edit/read the "setup" file previously ?

Code_Saturne
4.0 will be released this week, and its installer should guide you better, so you may want to wait a day or two...

Hello Yvan,

Thanks you for you early reply,

I have run in the shell, the commands : configure, make and make install,

I think, i don't have error after "configure" and "make" but I have some errors after "make install" :

- [Install recursive] Erreur 1
- [Install am] Erreur 2
- [install-libLTLIBRAIRIES] Erreur 127 (there is "just" a librairy to install ?)
- /bin/bash: xxx : No such file or directory

(as you can see in the attached files)

If the new version 4.0 is soon ready, I can wait 2 or 3 days...

Thanks you for you help.
