Pressure Condition at the outlet

Post by Asaxena »

Hello Team,

My model has three inlets(1-3) at the bottom and 4 outlets (4-7) (please see the attached image)
Schematic of the model.PNG
. Two outlets close to the top(4 and 6) and two somewhere in the middle (5 and 7). If I solved the model by using the outlet boundary condition the solution has the maximum velocity at one of the outlets (outlet4) (please see the attached file)

. However, the other outlets are at lower velocities (please find the attached file). For that solution, I am trying to apply the imposed pressure outlet condition. The pressure at the bottoms outlet (5 and 7) is assumed to be the atm pressure (let's say (Po) and the pressure at the top two outlets (4 and 6) is assumed to be (Po - hydrostatic pressure). but I am not sure whether this assumption is correct or not.
