Hello,
I would like to know if it possible to use a second order time scheme for momentum equation with RANS turbulence models (k - omega SST exactly).
I try to put ischtp = 2 in cs_user_parameters.f90 but I had an error :
@ @@ WARNING : STOP AT THE INITIAL DATA
@ =========
@ A 2nd ORDER SCHEME HAS BEEN IMPOSED (ISCHTP = 2
@ FOR K-OMEGA (ITURB = 60 )
@
@ The current version does not support the 2nd order with
@ coupling of the source terms of k-omega.
I understand that second order schemes are not available for k and omega equation but I would like to know if it is possible for momentum equation like it is the case for LES models.
I am using Saturne 7.0.2 version
Best regards,
Roxan

Re: Second order scheme with RANS
Hello,
I found this topic which remained unanswered and would like to ask the same question.
Since second order time scheme is available in CS for LES, is there a way to tell the code to use this time scheme in RANS mode, only for the momentum equations, keeping first order for k and epsilon/omega? Thus avoiding the issue reported in the previous message...?
Thank you very much in advance for your help.
Kind regards,
Daniele
