Equivalent of the RNG k-epsilon model?

Post by VDavid »

Hello,

Does anybody know if there is an equivalent model to the RNG k-epsilon model in code saturne? I have tried looking into the theory of the linear production model but it does'nt seem to be exactly the same model.

Thanks a lot in advance for your help!

Best regards,

Victor

Hello,

I'll let turbulence specialists correct me, but I confirm the linear production model (proposed by D Laurence, who worked at EDF with our team before he retired a few years ago, ) is a different variant from the RNG model.

I recall we may have had an RNG model in older codes, but in code_saturne, the linear-production variant was preferred, and most other turbulence research has been focused on RSM (especially Rij-EBRSM) and LES models, with k-epsilon-LP, k-omega SST, and Rij-SSG being widely used.

Best regards,

Yvan
