Hi,
Since I have some issues with Syrthès installation, I want to use the 1D-wall thermal module (cs_user_1d_wall_thermal.c)in CS as first approximation. So I was wondering if there are any tutorials or examples related to the use of the subroutine cs_user_1d_wall_thermal.c. Until now, I'm using the example on the programmer's documentation but I'm a bit lost.
https://www.code-saturne.org/cms/sites/ ... _pt1d.html
If I'm not wrong, it is not possible to use this model with the GUI ?
I work with the last production version of CS : 6.0.6
I'm on Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS
Thanks a lot for your help !
Rodolphe

Re: 1D-wall thermal module
Hello,
No, the example you are using is the best we have. Actually, I do not encourage using that model, except in cases where you are sure the transverse heat conduction effects can be ignored, and a better approach is to use an extrusion of the boundary (or in more complex cases, a conforming joining with a solid area mesh) and then switch to internal coupling. This still requires user-defined functions in v6.0, but is available using the GUI in v7., which is currently undergoing validation (over 2/3 done) and for which I expect to provide a first release candidate in 2 to 3 weeks.
Best regards,
Yvan
