How to set the previous result as an initial value for a new simulation?

Post by Ruonan »

Dear all,

Please could you give me some advice on how to set the previous result as an initial value for a new simulation? I learned from previous post that it can be done through GUI, but I did't find how to achieve this.

I'm using Code_Saturne 6.0.5 through GUI now.

Many thanks and best regards,
Ruonan

Hello,

This is available in the GUI under Time settings/Start-restart.

Hello Yvan,

Thank you very much for your reply. I succeed in doing this.

I found it is not difficult: first, in Time settings-Stopping criterion, specify an additional time steps; then, in Time settings-Start/Restart-Checkpoint/Restart, select a checkpoint from previous result file to restart.

Thank you again.

Best regards,
