Ok thanks for the feedback. The blank window issue seems similar to one observed on older versions on some systems but very rarely reproduced on the systems I have access to, but I had never had a relation to a LD_LIBRARY_PATH that should not be really necessary if the setup handles all the required flags.

I'll cross-check things in the installation.
