Code_Saturne does not take this kind of mesh?

Dear Code_Saturne users/developers,

The attached case is for a flow domain consisting of two subdomains that shares an interface. I found that, if the interface is meshed with viscous layer (see Mesh_1), Code_Saturne can't take the mesh. It produced: "The mesh has face -> cell connectivity errors. We can go no further." If the interface is not meshed with viscous layer (Mesh_2), then there is no problem. The question is why Code_Saturne can't take the first mesh? It is a valid CFD mesh. I don't see why Code_Saturne should not take it. I used Salome 7.4.0 to generate the mesh. My script file is included too. Thanks.

Hello,

I just tested your mesh, and the bug is in SALOME: some penta6 elements are badly oriented (numbered) by SMESH.

In Code_Saturne, you can use the "reorient" feature when importing the mesh (in the list of meshes under the GUI) to "fix" the mesh when importing it.

With reorienting activated, the mesh reads fine.

Regards,

Yvan
