CGNS Mesh reading error in Curta Cluster

Hi I have a Mesh in .CGNS format, which works fine in the local machine. But reading the mesh in Curta cluster gives following error.

Any help/suggestions in this regard is appreciated.

Error in preprocessor execution

/gpfs/softs/contrib/apps/code_saturne/5.3.0/sources/preprocessor/pre-post/ecs_pre_cgns.c:255: Fatal error.

CGNS error:
CGNS file -1322924040 is not open

This may be due to a CGNS library supporting only ADF (legacy)
or HDF5 (future default) and the file not matching. In this case,
running the adf2hdf of hdf2adf converters may solve the issue.

It is code Saturne 5.3.0 release. The mesh works fine in my local machine with same version, which has CGNS 4.2.0.

Hello,

It is probably an hdf5/adf support issue.
Also, supported versions of code_saturne can automatically select hdf5 or adf.
For older versions, try the cgns adf to hdf5 conversion tools.

I have native mesh in both CGNS and ADF format. Both Format gives error in curta cluster.
in ADF version it is giving error message that, the file being used is more recent that the CGNS library used.

Hello,

The version of CGNS with which code_saturne is installed on the cluster is also older...

This is mostly an installation issue, though only up-to date supported versions of code_saturne (v6.0, v7.0, v7.1) automatically detect ADF/HDF5 versions, avoiding the need for conversion. v5.3 has been retired since September 2019, so upgrading to v7.0 is highly recommended also.

The version 5.3 works fine for me in the local system. Here is the preprocessor log. I guess, up-gradation of CGNS is required. Kindly help, in trouble

Hello,

I repeat:

- Code_saturne 5.3 is not supported anymore. I can answer some questions out of memory, but I will not spend significant amounts of time supporting issues with that version, whatever the reason (I already have my hands full with current versions).

- The main issue here is due to the CGNS version and/or installation on your cluster. That is something you have to handle/upgrade on your side.

And finally, you could work around this generating the mesh_input by preprocessing on your workstation and then use that directly on the cluster, unless the mesh is too large.
