Syrthes support

Post by jingless »

Hi there,
There seems to be no forum for Syrthes, just an email: support-syrthes@edf.fr that does not work right now, not sure if it did in the past. Actually, the SYrthes EDF website has been down for a few days now.

Any suggestions on how and where to report Syrthes bugs?

Thanks in advance.
Regards
Jorge

Hello,

Same answer as in the usage thread:

Some of our mail boxes migrated to a different system, so if the Syrthes team omitted to indicate that account should migrate, that e-mail may have disapeared; they did not check it much anyways.

So I guess our team gets stuck with forwarding support requests and bug reports...

Hello Yvan.
Sorry for posting the question in both forums. We are new to the forum and it's a Code_Saturne forum, so we didn't know exactly where to post our question.

We hope they'll reactivate the support and bug report in the near future. For what we have used the software by now, it seems very capable and interesting, usable and robust, most of the time. It would be a pity if the discontinue the support.

I'll post the bug here just in case somebody from the developers team gets here by change at some point in the near future. So here it goes:

If we request transient data, results.rdt, it is only computed when the software is using one processor for the computations. In case it uses more than one processor, transient data is not provided by Syrthes. That's it. System: Ubuntu 14.04 64bits and Syrthes v4.3.

How can we get updated in case they reactivate the support?
Thank you very much for your kind help.
Best regards,
Jorge
