View factor and internal points

Hello everyone,

I am new to Syrthes 4.1 and I need some help.

I am trying to run a thermal calculation on an alveolate structure (much like a honeycomb) where radiation intervenes in each of the cells.
In the "view factor" section, I insert coordinates of internal points for each cell, whitout being able to tell Syrthes which point to associate to which cell.
The simulation crashes with the error:

*** iniori_3d : This volume is :
either already defined by a prvious point
either an ambiguity exists ---> Please chek very carefully
--> try to modify the position of the internal point 9

How can I fix this?

Best regards,
Ahmed

Hello,

I'm only familiar with the "basic" usage of Syrthes, and have not used its radiative module since several years (and versions) ago, and never for "advanced" models, so I can't be of much help here.

I'll try to check with a member of the Syrthes team to see if they can visit this forum and help you, but can't guarantee they'll be available.

In the meantime, if anybody else on this forum can help you, I encourage them to do so.

Regards,

Yvan

Thanks a lot.
I tried to send a message to the support staff at support-syrthes@edf.fr.
But apparently this address does no longer exist.

Anyways, I hope someone here can help me.

Best regards,
Ahmed
