Re: Running on Cray System

Hello, In the bottom of the code_saturne.cfg file, you can redefine the mpiexec command to set it to aprun. I'm in a bit of a hurry now, but I'll try to match the syntax with that of aprun to give you the recommended settings. I have not checked yet with other users on Cray for the control_file, but...

Re: Restart save frequency

Hello, Sorry, I missed the "<" and ">" characters in your syntax, which need to be removed. In many computing documentations (such as Unix/Linux man pages), we use "<", ">" to enclose mandatory arguments, and "[", "]" for optional arguments...

Re: Pulverized coal and slagging TUTORIAL

Hello,

I have uploaded the mesh in the tutorials section, with a link just under that of the pdf file :
http://code-saturne.org/cms/sites/defau ... ial3D.cgns

I also updated the 4.0 beta version.

Re: Running on Cray System

Hello, You need to uncomment the batch = PBS line (remove the #) in the Code_Saturne.cfg. Did you test you control_file syntax also on a workstation ? Otherwise, I'll try to check with other users on Cray to see if they have similar issues with control_file handling. Are you using a Lustre file syst...

Re: Pulverized coal and slagging TUTORIAL

Hello Very happy to know you are interested in Code_Saturne, and welcome to this forum. I don't have a local copy of this mesh, and this issue has appeared fo several tutorials not part of the "core" tutorials (which are versioned). I should be able to get a copy of the mesh from the colle...

Re: computation crash with polyhedra mesh

Hello,

Building a new mesh might not reproduce the issue...

The warped faces might be the main cause of the issue. Could you try splitting highly warped faces (for example those with an angle of more than 10°) ?

This may make things better or worse, but is worth trying...

Re: How to control the interval of checkpoint

Hello, Sorry, I did not notice the < and > characters in the control file. You must remove those (in most Linux manuals, you will find < > to denote required parameters, [ ] to denote optional parameters; we use this same convention). So you should simply use: max_time_step 14000 checkpoint_time_ste...

Re: Pulverized coal and slagging TUTORIAL

Hello,

This is good news. I'll try to see with Cyril next week about the remaining GUI xml generation bugs.

Re: Install and run C_S on a pbs cluster

Hello, If you cannot modify code_saturne.cfg in the install directory, you can copy it to $HOME/.code_saturne.cfg then edit it. This will allow you to set MPI options which may have been missed by the automatic detection. The missing libraries are more of a problem. They can be related to a differen...

Re: Guide to couple Saturne & SYRTHES

Hello, You can use the GUI to set a a coupled simulation, but the last section (Calculation management/Prepare batch calculation) does not apply (yet) to coupled simulations. So you need to exit the GUI (or use another terminal), and run either runcase_coupling or runcase depending on your Code_Satu...
