Re: How to plot residuals in Windows?

Hello Yvan, Based on the previous calculations, I found the thickness of the boundary layer which is above the cardboard, and then I re-adjusted the monitoring points, all of them are at the nozzle and above the boundary layer a little bit. I recalculated once with the 0.0001 reference time step, it...

Re: How to plot residuals in Windows?

Hello Yvan, Thank you for your reply, you really helped me a lot. I would like to know whether the reference time step is local time step? In fact I do not understand what CFL is, I just change the reference time step, the rest are the default settings, because in general the default setting is enou...

Re: definition of various pressures

Hello Matt, Reference Pressure is atmospheric pressure = 101325 Pa, as you said pressure is static pressure. Normally, static pressure = rho*g*h + atmospheric pressure, if you make atm = 0 Pa, static pressure becomes gauge pressure, so it should have no effect on the pressure loss. Best Regards XING...

Re: How to plot residuals in Windows?

Hello Yvan, Thank you so much, you helped me a lot. In fact, I want to simulate a dry nozzle, like this: nazzle.png Hot air is sprayed onto the cardboard through the inlet and nozzle. I want to observe their heat exchange and heat distribution. I calculated the maximum Reynolds number is only 7000, ...

Re: How to plot residuals in Windows?

Hello Yvan, Thank you for your response. I have set up 14 monitoring points where I am interested. Here are the Pressure, Temperature, and Velocity(X,Y,Z), I have set up the density of air is constant. Pressure.PNG Temperature.PNG Pressure and Temperature are very steady. But Velocity is very unstab...

Re: How to plot residuals in Windows?

Hello Yvan, I Am grateful for your response. Here is my xml.file and my listing, why the change of residuals are very small, but the derive is very large? Especially the omega, its residual is small enough, but its derive is too large. Can i treat it as a convergence? And the density, viscosity and ...

How to plot residuals in Windows?

Hello,

I would like to compare the convergence of different methods, so plotting the Norm. residual of the file 'listing' should be the most intuitive. And I'am using Windows, Code Saturne 4.0.6.
