Re: PROBLEM IN THE BOUNDARY CONDITIONS USING COMPRESSABLE MODEL
Attached video shows first evolution of flow for the case. The xml file I used is attached. I tried to operate later versions with this using the "code_saturne run -p setup.xml" with no real success. I would expect of this xml file to be the messenger between the gui and the code, leading ...

Re: PROBLEM IN THE BOUNDARY CONDITIONS USING COMPRESSABLE MODEL
I have learned to live with these buttons turning red each time the Initialization tab is left and then returned to. Your case is running on Code Saturne v5.0.4. I just downloaded and build the present v5 (v5.0.13) and with that your case does not run. I then recompiled a v5.0.4 to see if my build e...

Re: Salome-CFD missing librairies issues
In my experience ... If you already have a working Salome environment for geometry meshing and maybe postprocessing there is very little, if any, benefit from the integration of Code Saturne with Salome compared to the integrated gui. I actually also prepare a separate installation of Paraview above...

Re: Boundary conditions for Compressible analysis v5.3.2, v6.0.6 v6.3.0 [Reopened]
Hi Yvan.
Thank you very much. This is highly appreciated. I have recently had my computer occupied by parametric investigations on air-air ejectors so I have had good use of the compressible module.
Best regards and thank you to all the good people and EDF who made this possible.

Re: PROBLEM IN THE BOUNDARY CONDITIONS USING COMPRESSABLE MODEL
Hi Christopher. See attached simulaton of your case, generated with v5.0.4. I get the same boundary condition error with boundary flow on mass basis. So using the area of the boundary surface in the mesh and my best guess om a boundary density I entered the boundary flow on a velocity basis instead....

Re: Boundary conditions for Compressible analysis v5.3.2, v6.0.6 v6.3.0 [Reopened]
Hi again. This behaviour seems to persist on all versions I have tested after v5.0.4. In an effort to locate the cause and rule out the possibilities of a defect build environment, I most recently made the following: I made a fresh install of Debian 10 (Debian seems to be the mother of several mains...

Compressible model - de Laval nozzle
Just for fun and for visualising physics (self education) - Model a de Laval nozzle at 1 atm and at 0.1 atm for comparison. Animation dumps: 1.0_bar.gz 0.1_bar.gz If you look, observe that time is not linear - postprocessing writes are per n'th step not per units of time. vlcsnap-2021-03-14-21h18m37...

Might be caused by compilation environment issues. I close the topic for now.

Re: Fluid Properties tab in v6.3.0 (Closed)
Hi Yvan, and thank you. I just checked the installation log from the compilation of v5.0.4 back in 2019, and it was built on Python 2.7/PyQT4 whereas the more recent builds were on Python3/PyQT5 (both are available). I link up against hdf5/cgns/med/scotch libraries of Salome-MECA 2018 which are Pyth...
