Re: Build error: syrthescfd

Thank you very much Yvan. This seems to explain it. I may start with seeing if Saturne 8 will work with the version of MED and HDF5 of my Salome. If not I will build them with new libraries as I am not dependant of compatibility with Salome as I dont use the Salome module anyway.

Build error: syrthescfd

In my efforts to perform a conjugate heat transfer with code_saturne I now realise that the build process was incomplete. The syrthescfd related log (the full error log is attached) is: make: *** [syrthescfd] Error 2 ../pp.log: printf("\n ERROR : No coupled fluid 1d element \n",i+1); ../pp...

Meshing for conjugate heat transfer

Hello. I am now experimenting with the coupling between Code Saturne and Syrthes. Up to now I have used both tools seperatly with some success. My question here is how to mesh correctly for this coupling to work. My case is based on fluid-solid heat exchange. I have constructed the Study folder with...

Re: Syrthes (stand alone) execution time

Update on 3rd day of running: I just killed it. Apparently I have to try something else.

Syrthes (stand alone) execution time

Hello users of Syrthes. I am running a simulation with conduction and radiation, simplified to be a 2D axisymmetric problem. It does not appear huge: Conduction mesh: |--------------------|------------------| | Volumic mesh | Boundary mesh | ---------------------|--------------------|---------------...

Re: PROBLEM IN THE BOUNDARY CONDITIONS USING COMPRESSABLE MODEL

Dear Yvan. I wanted to test current v6.0 as well. So I issed the "git checkout v6.0 ; sbin/bootstrap" and installed, which gave me version "6.0.6-patch". It gives this error message: @ @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @ @ @@ WARNING : STOP WHILE READI...

Re: PROBLEM IN THE BOUNDARY CONDITIONS USING COMPRESSABLE MODEL

Dear Yvan, I am sorry to seem knitpicking ... but I just installed v5.0.13 trough github, and as seen with Paraview the results from above case at t=1.0ms look very alike for all three tested v5 branches: v5.0.4: Mach: 0.48 (max); Velocity: 160 m/s (max) v5.0.13: Mach: 0.48 (max); Velocity: 160 m/s ...

Re: PROBLEM IN THE BOUNDARY CONDITIONS USING COMPRESSABLE MODEL

Hi Yvan I also see a not very convincing difference in results between versions. A factor 2 on velocity and pressure. After 3.5ms in v7(from github): v7_3.5ms.png After 3.5ms in v5.04: v5_3.5ms.png I tried to run a incompressible steady solution to have something to compare with but I the solution i...

Re: Boundary conditions for Compressible analysis v5.3.2, v6.0.6 v6.3.0 [Solved]

To the best of my knowledge the issues seem to be solved. I have not tested all mentioned versions, though. My thanks and kudos to the organisation and crew behind Code_Saturne.

Verification cases

Further to another discussion covering the compressible module I was wondering if a suite of test standard cases exist where the results can be verified by theoretical methods or have been so by experiments. My theoretical insight is very basic when it comes to computational fluid dynamics so especi...
