Re: Convergence problem on steady Frozen Rotor simulation
Thank for the proposition. How can I upload my mesh, it makes 40mb when 7ziped and the forum limit is 10mb.
By the way, is SnappyHexmesh suitable for turbine meshing?
Best regards,
Jonas

Re: Convergence problem on steady Frozen Rotor simulation
Hi Luciano. Thank you for your help, I have redo the mesh with 4 times more elements and stricter respect of the surface groups. Now the joining (JOINING.case) is correct, For the mesh quality, I have never had less than 1% distortion. I would appreciate any insight for doing a better mesh. I have m...

Convergence problem on steady Frozen Rotor simulation
Hi everyone! I am using the turbomachinary module to study the flow in gas quenching cell with CS 5.0.7 on debian 9. The gas is nitogen at 20 bar, which is driven by a centrifugal pump. So far, I start to model it with Frozen Rotor model to get a first analysis. In the future, we will try the transi...

Some useful scripts for code saturne
Hi, I have done some scripts, while working on a code_saturne project, to makes it easier to have information, I put them in case it is useful for someone one day. First come some bash aliases that should be put in the .bashrc alias csw="watch -n 15 \"cat listing | grep \\\"INSTANT\\\...

How to enable clipping of pressure and velocity in CS 5
Hello everyone, I am running a simulation of a pump in a complex geometry in Code Saturne 5.0. I try to compute a steady state with the frozen rotor Turbomachinery module. The clipping section of equation parameters in the numerical parameters only permits clipping of temperature and user defined va...

Re: How many process can I run on this machine?
Thanks four your fast and useful answers. Code_Saturne really has a nice community. Based on your post I assume that you are running the test in a single machine (not a cluster) with 40 physical cores Yes, it is tested on a single machine, but it has 2 CPU with 10 physical cores per each CPU, so 20 ...

Re: How many process can I run on this machine?
Hi everyone! I am a new user of code saturne v5.0.5 on Debian 8. I have run a speed-up test with different configurations Also you have to check your available memory because with the first option (flat MPI) you will need more memory that with the hybrid case. Memory is not a problem for this machin...
