Plotting particle trajectories in ParaView

Hi Code_Saturne users and developers, I work on the pulverized coal combustion example case following the example manual. Section 8.1 of the manual is on outputting the particle trajectories. After the case is run, we have PARTICLE.case and particles.geo.00001, particles.geo.00002, particles.geo.000...

Particle drag law

Hello,

I would like to change the particle drag law in v4.0.5. The User Manual says the particle relaxation time maybe modified in subroutine "uslatp". I don't see this file in /USR/REFERENCE. Is it embedded in another file? Thanks.

Re: Stop to avoid exceeding time allocation.

Hi Yvan, It is a cluster system with a batch system but, for this case, I just ran it on the login node without sending it to batch run. When I got the case back to run on my workstation, it worked alright without stopping. It is strange that it stopped prematurely on the login node, but ran without...

Stop to avoid exceeding time allocation.

Dear Code_Saturne users and developers, I used v4.0.4 in a calculation, it stopped prematurely and said: ** Stop to avoid exceeding time allocation. ---------------------------------------- maximum time step number set to: 36 What caused this stop? What is Code_Saturne's criterion to stop the job an...

librdmacm - Unable to get RDMA device list

Hi, I compiled CS 4.0.4 on a cluster machine. The mpi on the system is mvapich2. Everything was fine in build and installation. When run a case, it showed the following: (Please also see the attached.) librdmacm: Warning: couldn't read ABI version. librdmacm: Warning: assuming: 4 librdmacm: Fatal: u...

Coupling two ALE mesh domains

Hi, Is it possible to couple two ALE domains? Code_Saturne has an ALE example in which a cylinder moving up and down, and one simulates the flow passes the cylinder and the formed downstream vortices. The example uses one ALE domain for the entire flow field. Let's change the configuration a little,...

Re: Code Saturne. Installation, Validation and Application

Hi Mariusz,

Thank you for writing up the excellent document and sharing with us. Is it possible also to share the Skipjack ship hull geometry or point us to where to get it? Thanks a lot.

Installer for CS4.0.4

Hi Code_Saturne developer, I wish there is a CS4.0.4 installer like those provided with CS3.0.7 and CS2.0.8. The installer automatically download the needed packages and correct versions to build the code independent of what is on the system. It avoids the situation of can't find needed packages or ...
